What Experience Wine Provides

For your in-person tasting event:

Experience Wine will provide a curated selection of wines, plus wineglasses, water, and palate cleansing nibbles for each taster, as well as tablecloths, dump buckets and wine lists. Experience Wine will open and provide a measured pour of all wines. We will provide set up and clean up, and will require access to running water and tables/chairs for the tasters. Most importantly, you will learn about and taste great wine with an expert educator: John is nationally recognized by Wine/Spirits Education Trust for his expertise in the wine world. Most importantly, he’s a guy who loves to share great wine with friends!

For your online tasting:

Experience Wine will provide a list of wines to be purchased and will work with you to make appropriate substitutions as needed for availability. John will guide you through each wine, just as if he were in your home with you!

Online tastings are presented through Zoom.

How much it costs

Our goal at Experience Wine is to provide the best possible tasting experience for your guests. We will teach you a bit about how to taste wine and how to appreciate that wine. We serve nothing less than great wine to guests in our home. So that’s what we will serve to your guests.

“Great” wine is never determined by the cost - it is determined by the care that went in to growing, making, aging, and storing that wine. Because John has invested many years of study into understanding the world of wine, his focus in providing great wine to your guests is based on that knowledge and not on the cost. That said, wine is a commodity where the cost is influenced by many factors, not limited to the current economy, the current climate for import/export in our changing world, wine availability at any given time and in our specific New England market, and other factors. Speaking in plain numbers, great wines can range from $10 to hundreds per bottle.

If you have a specific budget in mind, we are more than happy to work with that while still providing you and your guests with a high quality experience.

The costs are broken down into wine procurement fee, liability, and educator honorarium. For detailed cost breakdown in relation to your specific event, please send us a message.
